Our Owners

Justin & Krista Coliny

My wife Krista Coliny and I have 5 little monsters, so we understand the day-by-day grind of working hard to make ends meet, getting home to provide dinner and then rush off to take the kids to gymnastics or tee-ball and all of this while trying be a role model and provide an educational development for our little monsters. We want you the parent to allow us the opportunity to put your mind at ease and know that while you’re at work
we are going to do everything possible to help your infant, toddler or preschooler’s development.

All the Best,
Justin Coliny

Assistant Director

Krista Smith

Krista Smith has been working in early childhood education for five years and brings both passion and experience to her role as Assistant Director at Little Monsters. She began her career as an assistant teacher in the one-year-old room before becoming an Infant Lead Teacher, where she discovered her love for helping children grow into their own personalities. Krista also holds certifications in Safe Sleep and CPR, keeping safety and quality care at the center of everything she does.

What Krista enjoys most about her work is the relationships she builds—with both children and their families. She strives to make every parent feel completely comfortable leaving their little one each day, knowing they are safe and supported. Her leadership style is supportive and inclusive, focusing on creating an environment where teachers feel encouraged and children thrive. As Assistant Director, she loves facing new challenges, learning something new every day, and making sure both staff and families feel heard, cared for, and valued.

Outside of work, Krista loves spending time outdoors—whether fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying nature with friends—even though she jokes she’s “allergic to everything outside.” While she doesn’t have children of her own just yet, working with little ones every day has inspired her for the future. Krista believes what makes Little Monsters truly special is the all-around commitment to not just education, but to each child’s overall well-being. She hopes every family feels confident knowing their children are in great hands and describes Little Monsters as developmentally supportive, inclusive, and welcoming.
